My Actifit Report Card: November 28 2020

Saturday.

The village was covered in a thick and grey layer of mist. But in the afternoon I drove back into the city and there I was greeted by blue skies and sunshine. So today I decided to take my walk in an urban setting, back "at home", in my old neighbourhood.

I think I've gotten too used to the village life already. Walking around these familiar roads felt almost a bit awkward. So many people everywhere.

I quickly escaped to my old sunset vista on top of a parking garage. If you've been following my actifitivity reports back in 2019 you might remember the scenery.

I noticed something interesting and unusual up here. Little piles of sand in geometric patterns. Letters and numbers written on the concrete with accurate small deposits of sand.

Most of it was already washed away and I wasn't able to piece together what the writing said, but maybe even more intruiging, how the writing was done?!

There's a university campus nearby. My leading theory is a robotics doo-dat like a sand plotter that was tested up here. Or maybe a really patient and accurate artist used the parking deck as a canvas. No, I think it was a robot.

Seeing the sun set over the city was a nice change to the rural scenery I've grown accustomed to over the past few months. There's beauty in this brutalist concrete landscape, but I think I do like the forest a lot more!
