まだ薪割りの続きです。

薪を縦に置き、斧を振り下ろしました。
キレイに真っ二つになりました。
薪が転がります。

しかし…。

「え？」と思ったのです。

薪割り台の丸太が真っ二つに割れています！

ええーーー！？

こんなことが…。

あまりに見事に真っ二つに割れているので、しばし呆然。
割れてしまった薪割り台を見つめて固まってしまいました。

この薪割り台は随分と前に購入したスギの木です。
もうかなり乾燥していましたので、割れやすくなっていたのですね…。

この薪割り台を購入した後で色々知ったのですが、スギ材はやはり割れやすいみたい。
針葉樹はさっくり割れてしまいますね。
広葉樹は重いですが、頑丈です。

まだ薪割りを開始して少ししか片付いてないのに、どうしましょう…。
残りの薪割り…。

次回に続きます。

昨日はものすごい大雨でした。
今日はものすごい猛暑でした。
最高気温が35℃だった様です。
体調管理に充分気をつけなければ。
