The search for Mexican Street Art continues

avatar

I try to post once a month a huge compilation of the street art I find roaming the streets of the city I live in, currently inside Mexico thanks to Covid and the stupidity of the majority of the worlds population - not only because they gave in to their rights so easily but also because it's more simple to believe what the media and the TV tell you instead of thinking by yourself.

Either way, I'm stuck in Mexico, so I'm making the most of it however and whenever I can. One of those escape activities is searching for street art.

Most of the street art I find is randomly and by chance, I'm not actively searching for it, I just stumble upon it because there's way too much graffiti in Mexico and some of them are true gems.

But whenever I see that the Street Art compilation date is approaching and I still haven't reached my usual quota - which is between 50-80 pieces of art from the street - I try to actively search for it.

A few days ago I went to one of the longest walks of my adult age era and I found several amazing street art gems. Today I continued where I left off because I knew that little town still had a lot to offer in terms of graffiti and I was paid the big bucks because I indeed found what I was looking for.

One of the pieces I found is this beauty... What do you think of it?

I didn't cover a lot of streets today but it was enough for me to have almost enough pics to provide a nice, worthy comp, and at the same time, covered almost 9k steps for Actifit.

What a wonderful pursuit! Will you ever run out of art to visit? I can imagine several possible answers to that question:

  • No, because artists are at work all the time creating more.
  • No, because the city is so enormous that it would take a lifetime to find all the street art.
  • Yes, but it's easy to forget everything you have already seen, so it's fresh again a few months later!

That piece is realy quite beautiful. Can you imagine putting so much time and effort into something that will face the elements and will not be preserved like traditional art?

It's great that you can search for art and exercise in the same time, as going outside is much better than sitting indoors and hearing virus propaganda
