Yep, that title might as well be I'm a 48 year old suburban mom but I don't care, I like plants and I'm a sucker for half a dollar plants just like the ones I bought today. I spent 8 bucks and took home 14 plants, 8 of which are also cooking condiments, so I'm killing two birds with one stone by having the apartment full of plants - outside the bedroom, you know how harmful it can be to have plants inside the room by nightfall - and I get one step closer to being self-sufficient.
The plan is to eventually live off grid, and the first step for that is food independence and that's exactly what I've been aiming for over the past weeks. I'm preparing my terrace to be able to host vegetable plants and some small fruit trees and now I got the condiment plants, we'll see how it goes.
This is just preparation, I'm leaving the city soon and I'm just practicing and getting the hold of having my own orchard and maybe later on, a little farm, but that's going too far away from right now.
Anyway, today was plant buying Sunday and I got 16k steps, pretty good for a 48 year old suburban mom if you ask me.
