That is a really really really nice shot! You not only got the big ones, but also the smaller ones!
Thank you very much @lemouth 😊
In the stack, the smaller ones get visible better than in this single shot. Unfortunately, it disappeared after around 2 hours behind the roof.
I will use the clouds in the next days to enlarge my terrace a little bit. I hope this works despite the uneven ground.
You may eventually need a dedicated space at the very end of the garden ;)
I have some space where the tripod always stays, so I just have to take the other stuff outside. This place should be a little bit farther away from the house so I can get one or 3 hours more time on some target. But I'm thinking about a massive concrete pier for a while now. Let's see, maybe someday 🙂
This is was my friend has. He has a dedicated place in his garden, with a dome and some computers inside, and a fixed telescope + camera apparatus. This probably costs more money than my car :D
That's my problem :-D
I envy everyone who has this comfort ;-)
The only thing that I have (semi-)fixed is my tripod, so that I don't have to align the tripod every time and it is roughly orientated to north. I have to set up Mount, telescope, and computers every time. But this gives me the opportunity to take my equipment and drive to a location with a dark sky.
On the other side, a fixed pier in the garden would be nice. It also could be used as a bird watering-place when clouds or the moon don't allow imaging 😂
But the next budget is planned for a nice APO refractor with an aperture of 100mm to get a faster imaging system. 😊
It indeed seems to be a hobby that takes time and money to get a great apparatus. However, from your pictures, you can already do great things with not much. It is more a matter of growing with time, isn't it? I hope your installation will manage to grow :)
Completely true. Growing with time, updating the gear, and finding the niche you enjoy the most, also enhancing image editing skills, are one of the goals.
Thank you very much @lemouth 😊
I hope to be able to make an update this year. The lockdowns all over the world are unfortunately delaying many things, but... Anticipation is the most beautiful joy, and the risk of rushing to buy is also reduced. 😀
