5K Powered by Coffee āš
Today was one of those days, back-to-back meetings, endless emails, and the sneaky feeling that the office chair was plotting to swallow me whole. But in between the chaos, I racked up 5,000 steps. The secret? Strategic trips between my desk and the coffee machine.
No scenic park views, no sweaty gym sessions, just fluorescent lights and the aroma of roasted beans guiding the way. And yet, it reminded me of something important: fitness doesnāt always have to be epic. Sometimes itās just about squeezing movement into the cracks of your day.
So yes, todayās āworkoutā was basically a caffeine relay race, but the steps still count. Progress is progress, even if it tastes like coffee. āš

The #dustbunny bot's Hive account is heavily struggling with fluffing all those dust votes, as seen with its Voting Power having been less than 80% since more or less a year ago. š¤š¤Æ That's as opposed to #dustsweeper whose VP is just sitting at 100% (for which I want to suggest to give away some as "bonus" votes for its users). šøš¤Æš¤

The "other bot" to the "dust fluffing" #dustbunny bot is the "dust sweeping" #dustsweeper bot. šš

the other fluffer boton your previous comment, so I mentioned that you were referring to the #dustsweeper bot !INSTEAD. š¤š§āāļøš¤ÆA #dustsweeper user can delegate (a good amount of) Hive Power to the dust-sweeping Hive account, then set a recurring transfer of HIVE (or HBD) there, so that the user can get their dust votes swept with minimal supervision. š¤šš

It might help you in the long term to use the #dustsweeper service to sweep all your dust votes (even only those incoming so that you can save HIVE while still helping the curators of your comments to have their dust votes swept too). š¤š§āāļøš¤
!WEIRD

If there's a Hive Hard Fork that will drastically reduce the value of dusted votes down to 0.001 HIVE/HBD, then the #dustsweeper and #dustbunny services would still be needed but surely no longer as much. š¤š§āāļø Anyway, your "quick typing fingers" made you type a comma !INSTEAD of a period at the end of the first sentence of your comment. š¤Æš
If anyone on Hive would delegate the #dustbunny Hive account a huge amount of Hive Power (such as 10,000 HP), then the dust-fluffer bot would be able to fluff those dust votes significantly more efficiently. š¤šš

Maybe the vote dusting mechanism should instead be eliminated, where the minimum earnings a Hive post or comment can get is 0.000001 (or one millionth) VESTS. š¤š¤
I hope that, but the question is still when. š¤Æš
I'd like that even more.
Good question, and I'm not sure yet. My HP is growing quite quickly now, more than 100 HP per week, but I'm also still presently very overextended in my delegations and HP leases, so it will be a little while to balance everything out again. šššāØš¤
!HOPE

However, while Hive Power is expressed in the form of VESTS (to easily add inflation of HP), the HIVE and HBD tokens are rounded down to the nearest thousandth (0.001). š¤šøš¤Æ Anyway, SWAP.HIVE and SWAP.HBD's precisions are one out of a hundred million (precision 8). š¤š
One thing good about Hive is that there are so many projects to choose from to invest and/or take part of, and it is quick and usually free to put tokens to them !INDEED. šš
!WEIRD

Indeed, true.
Well, that used to be the case, but I don't know if you've been paying attention, because a great many projects have failed or ended in the past few years, with many viable investment opportunities drying up. I really hope that the fiat price of HIVE does rise again, as it's been in a downtrend since 2021, and it's dangerously close to $0.08. If it goes below that price, very unpleasant things will likely happen on Hive. š š š ⨠š¤

We can !HOPE that if ever the price of the HIVE token goes to its all-time-low (ATL), then people on (and off) Hive will buy huge amounts of that token (whether manually or automatically), preventing the price of the token from staying at its ATL for long periods of time (and also hopefully have a significant and prolonged surge in price). š¤š¤š
!WEIRD

!WEIRD
While buying more HIVE tokens at these prices is likely the most helpful method in helping Hive right now, only a small percentage of people on Hive are able (and/or willing) to do that, so supporters of Hive should have more knowledge of how to help Hive in ways that don't involve spending fiat money or other cryptocurrency coins/tokens for it. š¤š§āāļøšøš¤Æš¤
!HOPE
!LOLZ
Presently, aside from buying HIVE, converting HBD to HIVE would also be very good. šššāØš¤
!HOPE

That's a good idea, though that sounds like simply using HBD to "buy" HIVE, only that HBD that is converted will always be treated as exactly $1.00 in fiat currency, and the 3.5 days waiting time applies. š¤š§āāļøšøš¤Æš¤
!WEIRD !INDEED !HOPE !HUG
1 HBD will only equal $1 of HIVE if the Hive Debt stays below 30%, otherwise it will lose its peg to the dollar. The Hive Debt is presently at 17.78%. It went from 13%, which it was at yesterday, to 17.80% today, but very thankfully it just started going down a little later in the day. šššāØš¤

!WEIRD
!HOPE

I was indeed, correct. Well, it was rising very quickly, then it finally began to stabilize and fall, which I'm thinking was the result, at least in good part, of the HBD in the DHF being removed from the Hive Debt calculations. šššāØš¤

Not to mention trying the !BEER token tipping command with 10 other (token tipping) bot commands! š»š¤Æš¤£
10 is a bit much, but it would be interesting to see which ones work. šššāØš¤
!BEER
We might only assume that the BEER bot is drunk when the BEER token tipping command works with (at least) 10 other bot commands on the same comment! šŗš¤Æš¤£
!ALIVE
I would just call it an inconsistent token. šššāØš¤
!ALIVE
Perhaps a "drunk token" would be even better! šš
!BEER
So erratic, unpredictable, and doing stupid things? šššāØš¤
!BEER
So far, what the BEER token tipping bot does that is unexpected is fulfilling the !BEER token tipping command in the presence of (one or more) other bot commands on the same comment, or simply not fulfilling the command even if it is the only bot command on the comment and the tipper still has not reached their maximum BEER tipping limit. š»š¤Æš
Yep, it's pretty much a shot in the dark every time it's used. šššāØš¤

I remember playing online games (I really like to play games) where the player must try to hit the bullseye in a dart game while being drunk. šµš
!BEER
How'd it go? šššāØš¤
!BEER
Some of those drunk games required a lot of focus to hit the bullseye (consecutively), while the others are very difficult to win regardless of how focused you are. š¤Æš

Perhaps it's just me, but that doesn't sound fun to me at all. šššāØš¤

Yes, though they are part of some games that I played before (often as optional mini-games) !INDEED. š

I played some of them as standalone games out of curiosity, and some of them are part of other games that are optional but give some good bonus items for the rest of the game. š¤

@savvytester told me that they noticed that another comment that they tried to publish on #Ecency just 2 days ago failed again, when they saw the same comment displaying on their feed on #HiveEngage. 𤯠Because they usually publish comments here on Hive less frequently, it took them more time to notice that such comment didn't actually get published !INDEED. š¤

I would find it exceedingly annoying if it did that, and yes, it does turn to molasses with a large number of comments. šššāØš¤

Do you mean that you tried to open a post with a huge amount of comments (let's say 500) on the #Ecency native Android app, and the same (drastic slowdown of the page) occurred (like what also happens on the Ecency website)? š¤Æš¤
!BEER
No iteration of Ecency handles large numbers of comments well, or even a large number of tagged accounts in a post. šššāØš¤
!BEER
I think that the legacy (
v3) version of the #Ecency frontend (while it was still available for the public) can handle large amounts of tagged Hive accounts on a post (or comment) well, as those tags are just displayed as hyperlinked text (no images and embedded "profile cards"). š¤!WEIRD !INDEED !HOPE !WINEX !ALIVE
