What can I say about today, we got up at 4 like usual and did our workouts. Then we headed in to work.
Today was a half day remote for the studentsz so just about 1 pm, my wife messaged me and asked if I wanted to play hooky. We hopped in the truck and called it a day.
We had to run to the store to pick up a couple essentials for the weekend and then we headed home.
One of the essentials was this bottle of Irish whiskey that I decided to splurge on.
At $60 for the bottle it was a bit more expensive than the stuff I usually get.
I had been encouraged to try it by @rok-sivante so I decided to give it a go. At first I only had the regular bottle, then I saw the double oaked bottle and i threw caution to the wind and went with that.
It is fantastic. You can really taste the cognac from the barrels they do my finished it in. It kind of reminds me of the Tomatin and Minor Case whiskeys I have tried that were finished in Sherry casks.
