Back to work after an extended weekend - running between two roasters

Back to work today after a scorching hot bank holiday Monday in the UK - and look the back fence of my home garden that blew down in the gales of February is back up new and improved. Only the bit in the middle blew down, if I had done it then I would have just botched the blown down bits back up - but oh no the whole lot got pulled down and brand new uprights, cross pieces and slate fitted all along. I didn’t touch any of it - too busy at work - the misses and my eldest boy did the whole lot - digging holes and cementing uprights - not bad for a pair of bodget and scarpers

First for me today, I had both the 5kg and 30kg roasters going dashing between them to check temps, gas pressure and air flow - tricky business and I have to make sure they don’t finish at the same time - because I cant be checking the roast colour of coffee on two machines at once! It all worked out good though - some tweaking still to do on the new 30kg but it’s getting there.

Glad to see you're still roasting. I don't know what a budget or a scarper is, but the name sounds quaint.

This post reminds me that I haven't had coffee in awhile. Maybe I'll have an international blend! :)

It's a slang term for Tardy tradesmen - who do a job quickly with poor finish and then leave quickly before anyone notices...Bodge It and Scarper! lol If I don't have coffee in more then 12 hours my entire world collapses!

You are back at work, we are still at home due to the pandemic and I can't wait to resume my work. Regards

Excellent job with your 11552 @actifit steps! Sounds like a busy day. I roast coffee but on a much, much, smaller scale (micro roasting) and just for a couple of customers. I do love the smell of all stages of it including the green beans and up to the finished product. Take care and have fun!
