My Actifit Report Card: July 30 2020

Been a week between walks down my local track. Cleared away some chores. Phone call from my wife suggesting we go early to Hunter Valley for weekend.

That got me focused to walk. First photo is an orchid bud in my garden - a Sydney rock orchid.

This tree is in a segment of protected bush - I am going to guess it is a remnant of Antarctic Beech.

All the creeks running strong after 3 days of rain.

Went below the track again to check on nodding greenhoods. Still going strong.

Loved this pair growing in moss on top of a rock - dancing cheek to cheek.

Signs of other greenhood flower spikes - probably curta

Last days for acianthus fornicatus - seems that in low light the green form is the game.

More promise with chiloglottis flower spike forming

Walked as far as the last week sighting of mayfly orchids to check progress. A big cluster of flower spikes

And one flower - acianthus caudatus.

Wife got home around 6pm and we left soon after to be in the Hunter Valley by 8 pm. Love the peace and stillness of the country
