My Actifit Report Card: May 7 2021

A clear blue sky day breaks for the last day of our road trip. NSW government has imposed mandatory masks indoors for 3 days for Greater Sydney region. We have a Mother's Day lunch on Sunday at home. Need to shop - decided to do that in Forster on the way south - no masks needed. Plan was to take a tea break at Booti Booti NP and walk for orchids. Started to rain as we finished shopping. Drove on.

Stopped in Bulahdelah for beers for Sunday and to refuel.

My wife waiting to head out. Easy to find car in a car park - bike on the roof. Bike Friday folding bike.

Quite a lot of rain as we passed Karuah. Stopped for lunch break at Medowie rest area. I walked a track I found going into Grahamstown Dam catchmnet area to look for orchids. No luck on that front but a few of these grevillea flowers

No orchids - light on this banksia is gorgeous

Made it home before 3pm. All seemed to be in order here. There has been a lot of rain and wind. Back lawn full of branches. Wine cellar sump pump has worked as it is not flooded.

Garage door would not open. My guess is power is out - luckily I had rigged up a rope system to activate the manual override. There is only the roller door and a window into the garage. Power had tripped as flood water had shorted a live extension power socket on the floor. Good luck the circuit tripped - otherwise building could have burned down.

Dinner: Fried flathead bought fresh the day before from the Tuncurry fish co-op. Served with a beurre noisette = brown butter. First time effort worked nicely.

Trade action: Bought ACA.PA, CBK.DE. Sold HL for a tidy profit.
