My Actifit Report Card: July 21 2021
Did make it out of bed a little earlier on a blue sky day. Some really disturbing dreams about knife attack revolution. Do not know where that came from. Spent a bit of the morning being entertained by kookaburras - I dig worms out of the compost bin for them to find. Photos tomorrow.
Did get to do the walk I had planned for the day before down a newly discovered local track. Mission to see if buds I saw last time are open.
Mimosa season is on us. August 1 is National Wattle Day - getting ready for that.

The intensity of yellow is fab
The brown cuckoo-dove was not too fussed about me but would not let me get closer for a non-zoomed photo. They are steadily moving south.
Walked off the track in a likely area for orchids and soon found lots of nodding greenhoods in flower.
Pterostylis nutans. This area abuts the spot I found them last time. I scoured the area for cobra greenhoods - no luck

I did find this finishing flower. Now I read the details - multiple leaves - this is the diplodium grandiflorum = cobra greenhood.
Next stop - this rock which now has 4 greenhoods flowering and two buds
This flower has not formed correctly and has a side gash rather than a neatly formed galea (hood).

Front on shows why it is called blunt-tipped greenhood.
Two buds still to open. From there made my way home up Glengarry Fire Trail.
I call these upside down flowers as they always drop down and face the ground. This one was up a slope so I could get in underneath and photograph facing the sky.
Nice colour contrast off the track.
Saw these orchids in a garden on the way home - pink crucifix orchid. Enjoyed my walk.
Wrote up yesterday's trades in the afternoon. Dinner action: Chicken drumsticks in airfryer. Also jazzed up last week's beef short ribs. One piece to go.
Trade action: Bought EWA. Sold COFF.L and UNG. Quite a few more income trades.
Day was damped down when I got notice from NSW Health that I had been exposed to Covid-19 in Monday's weekly shop
Does not auger well for a good night sleep.
