There is a pattern emerging. Go to bed really late and stay down until the sun is up next day and the house warms up.
The king parrots are a constant. I never tire of chatting with them as they feed and chasing off the lorikeets. Sorry if you see too many photos - it is the way it is.
As you know cycling is my true passion. That has me watching Olympics Women's Road Race - first photo - champion Marianne Vos from Netherlands fetching water.
Front of the early stage has the Dutch team and a South African rider up front. I watched the front end of the race. Did some time on the trainer. Then got onto virtual things - back to places I have found orchids in the past
Common ant orchid - chiloglottis formicifera
Coastal maroonhood from above
Smallest hint of the labellum from the front
Grevillea against the light
Late winter is mayfly orchid time - how could one leave these out of a virtual tour
Watched the end of the women's road race. Just amazing to watch a no-name rider ride 100 kms in a breakaway onto a win. Simply amazing. Well done Anna Kiesenhoffer from Austria. It made my lockdown day special.
