Camellias in the Suburb : May 9 2022
A new week starts rainy again. Am sure over the La Nina summer. We have a house full of mould. The day did start a little differently - we got the cleaners back after two years plus of lockdown.
I wrote up the weekly investing post. 5th week in a row of down markets and my portfolios also went down. The contra investing style works for a while but nothing copes with bear markets either.
My wife used the oven for her lunch - I baked banana bread in the warm oven
Went walking to get some air - umbrella in hand. Day was turning into a camellia day. Creek crossing changed the theme a bit
Looks innocuous enough like a creek running. Not quite. See the water pipe going in to the water and the stream going against the flow - this is a broken water main or stormwater pipe or sewerage pipe. No toilet paper and no rain says water main
Strelitzia - coat of arms for my first army unit - 6 SA Infantry
Back to camellias
Subtle pink edging
A few jonquils open - found 3 different colours open. Not quite what we expect in May
This looks like a St John's Cross
Love the detailed edging on this too
The signs of autumn - forget the jonquils

Dinner: BBQ under a little moon.
