Hunter Valley Zoo : June 26 2022
Felt like a morning after probably because it was. Fab clear blue sky and I got up after the frost had burned off. Plan for the day - nice breakfast and then go to the local zoo to use our NSW Discover vouchers

Meerkats are a favourite - posing for the camera or soaking up the sun
Rock wallaby likes the sun too - zoom focus did not work well

Giraffe enclosure is new since our last visit
Would be remiss to not post photos of the clouds. Wind is bringing these in from up north where they have been spraying for months. No need to spray down here as the wind does the work. Study those synoptic charts to see.
The white lions were snoozing and then the male caught sight of a ute driving down the side road. He was up and moving - maybe food time
Nice to see lots of people in the zoo. The zoo should survive the covid bullshit.
Was also a good way to end the weekend without doing any more work on the house and garden. I am shattered
My wife drove home - I would have needed a few stops. So tired after a big weekend of emotions.
