Huge steps day topped out with orchid walk : March 13 2024
Got into busy mode organising my stuff for a bike trip away. Bike out of storage where it has been for nearly 4 months. Got everything into one place to decide what to keep. Had a few bits missing - off by train to shops
Somewhere over 3 places are 3 key pieces. Could not find them - buy new. Fab to be able to walk to train and walk to shop and back. Decided to get home and get organised before doing a little grocery shopping. Walked up there to add the steps
Was itching to get into the bush. Did need to shuffle cars and the trailer. Walked to move my car and went for the bush walk - forming greenhood orchid on Blackbutt Creek track - new leaf unfolding - needs 5
Did get one budding
Close in on another - this is a buzz - new finds in my new neighbourhood
Some colour - oxalis
Checked on the wasp orchids - nothing budding yet - will keep to the end of my bike trip
Greenhood rosette close by - was not there last time. Kept walking to a known spot for sharp greenhoods - not open last time
A few buds - low light requires apology for the out of focus photo. The photo is my record of what is coming
One I saw budding last time has flowered and seeded - pterostylis acuminata - sharp greenhood
Did the last of the vehicle shuffles when my wife got home. Trailer moved and my car and her car parked down below
She was looming after her grandson - a bit off colour to go to kindergarten
Cooked dinner - chicken Alfredo with pasta - was yum
Last task was to publish last week investing post

I think you will find a lot of blooming orchids in a few days isn't it? Some of them are already budding. : )
Very dry in Northern Victoria - none today on my walk. Maybe in the two days after that going up to Mt Pilot NP
