Message from my son at 9:30 am - his daughter arrived safely at 3.46 kg - Violette Rose will be her name - my 2nd grandchild

Got in the train to join my son and other granddaughter. They have rented an AirBNB next to the hospital. A few photos of the new buildings close by. All built since my son lived there in St Leonards

Grand play park and the building keeps going

Walked from St Leonards to Crows Nest to intersect them in the supermarket - apartments along the way

All new since I last walked down this way. Caught up with them in the supermarket- my granddaughter was asleep in the stroller - been a big day

Went up to apartment- Scarlett dived into bed. We chatted for ages about the state of the world and the lessons of history. The playbook comes from that same history. Scarlett emerged once and retreated

Back home - getting used to zero interaction days.

Orchids my wife bought for my birthday have opened - two types but similar colours

Had a friend come over to discuss apartment strata issues. I cooked dinner - simple - spatchcock on bbq

Late night trade action. Analysed the fiscal year capital gains # a huge year. Put in place a whack of tax loss sales - going to absorb a whack of tax liability on stocks that do not want to deliver the promise
