Short Blackbutt Creek walk - rain : July 7 2025
Started out with a lovely sunny but cold morning. That will make for a good walk later, says the man. Got busy doing accounting stuff and running the next product launch. Come lunch time it had gone grey and gloomy. Checked the forecast - rain on the coastal fringe seas that man
Got moving to do the walk down to Blackbutt Creek - no umbrella. House on St Johns Avenue has now sold - the front is old style
The sale board describes something modern. Who would know from the front
Took the St Johns Walk path - fab magnolias on the corner
Intrigued to find Trump graffiti on the fence panels. Amazing to think there is a kid interested enough to do Trump graffiti - this is Australia. The PM cannot even get a meeting
Onto Blackbutt Creek - native violets to greet the beginning
There were a lot of these brown mushrooms - most photos got deleted - this one is just OK
The mission - are there greenhoods? Yes but not budding
Less brightness makes mushroom photo work easier
It started to rain - no umbrella - change plan and check one orchid location. Greenhood rosettes - did not see flowers last year. None so far this year
Chiloglottis orchid leaves - no flowers yet but I did see them last year here
Location shot - head up from here to golf course and home. Can hide in golf club if rain is too much. Sign is newly painted

Rain did not last long. Made it home dry. Spent a whack of the rest of the afternoon doing IM stuff - two launches running
