Train trip to Sydney City - walk back via Cathedral : August 6 2025
Someone asked for photos of trains given how much train travel I do. Photo of a suburban train at Gordon Station. For me - catching a train and metro going the other way to the city for lunch with a friend
Meeting in Kings Cross. Each time I see a For Sale or Sold board I am all eyes - wondering what is going to happen
This building looks plain enough but below each window is a huge att work - the colour of weathered copper. We shall see what survives - not a lot has in this street - the main street of Kings Cross
We had a good lunch. Walked back to city onna blue sky day to get the steps done. Street art work at the top of William Street
The eBike shop has closed. No indication of a new address - survived the Covid years and now gone
Not really noticed this building before - built in 1925 in classic red brick style
Took the cut through the gardens above The Domain and below the Cathedral - fab line of Moreton Bay figs
St Mary's Cathedral - put about the hoarding in front
Centrepoint tower - tricky photo work to get the sun behind the only skyscraper this high up in the city
Walked through Hyde Park - gardens showing some colour and form
The other side with a row of people listening to a busker playing on his guitar. Complete with sound system and happy to take payments by PayID and Bitcoin.
Always interesting to walk through the city and good to see the place busy with locals and tourists
