Circles in Barangaroo and Darling Harbour - heaps of security: December 18 2025
It is a warm day and there is Christmas shopping to be done. Head into city to walk by the water and maybe make a look back through the city

First photo at the interchange station had me asking - why is a young man wearing a T-shirt with affluence on the back. Is this man perfume I do not know about?

Got the Metro to Barangaroo - there's always a breeze and plenty to see - ferry crossing not quite between the buoys
Got to say I was seriously bothered about the high security presence. They were investigating every light pole. Not just taking snaps but studying. Having see the crowds at Customs House for the Christmas parade I was keen to stay away

Crown Casino standing tall with wispy clouds - take notein the follow up photos

Not only on the ground was there Police presence. Since my days in Johannesburg in the 80s and London in the 90s this bothers me no end

A place to escape the madding crowd under wispy skies

Popped into a donut shop run by my friend's son. He was in - hiding behind the pillar serving a rush of customers. Had to stop by as I talked with his dad a few days back - a mutual friend passed

Not noticed this circular building in the many times I have walked this way

View across Darling Harbour to Pyrmont wharves and the James Craig. My wife worked one wharf behind in wharf 10

Into Darling Harbour - also walked past this a lot of times - probably a representation of a sea creature catching device

I have taken this shot before - Christmas cheer behind the fountains. Probably brolgas

Long view down Darling Harbour to Crown Casino - last time I was here, there was a huge storm rolling in

Close by is the Chinese Friendship Garden - this water dragon posing is not a statue

View into the gardens - looks peaceful and friendly. In the old days when I first brought my kids there was no $12 entry fee. Keep walking for free

Another round layered building in Exchange Square - not seen this before. Got to love finding new corners of your home city

Pumphouse Hotel under the off ramp from the bridge across Darling Harbour

Got a bit lost on tracking which photo was what - not far from University of Technology Sydney where my son and wife studied

Little doubt the spent time in The Ultimo - the closest pub to campus.
Walked through Paddy's Markets and get a tram home from there
Got the steps done. Did not achieve any shopping. Sure was hot when I got home. Being near the water helps a lot
Dinner: Pizza - simple
