Arsenals Best Line Up On Paper
Now that transfer deadline day is over and the teams are settled until Jan on paper I think this would be the best mid and toward line for Arsenal but we know the game is not won on paper it’s won on that green thing called a field
Form, injuries, combinations, tactics and the opposition all change the way teams line up but in another time this 6 players would be more than enough to take apart any team
Ozil picking splits out his arse
It’s been ages since we’ve seen London’s most overpriced bench warmer play since Arteta whats work ethic in these times and his 4-3-3 or 3-4-3 doesn’t really accommodate ozils and which to a degree I get but I’d you a world class player you should be able to play in any formation
I do think getting the most out of that lazy German would be to go 4-2-3-1 the good old Ajax formation and we do have the players to do it now but it remains to be seen his place is still not something the team needs to consider although with 3 cup runs it could be something to try out
Over stocked at the back
Arsenal probably has the biggest selection of defenders yet none of them really stand out apart from Gabriel at the moment and perhaps Tierney if they can stay fit
Right backs: Cedric, Bellerin
CB: Gabby, Saliba, Chambo, Luiz, Mari, Sokratis, Mustafi
LB: Tierney, Kolasinac
Then Niles and Saka can double as full backs and wing backs there is so much cover and competition at the back id like to see some clean sheets this season or a lot of those need to be shipped out

I agree with you. I still don't get the point on why they are not using him. He has skills. Yes, he is lazy but that cannot be your excuse to not include him in the team. Pep talk (not pepe) , motivation therapy or whatever you may need, you need to make sure his arse is doing the work.
But, the team's problem has always been in the back. What's your formation there?
I am sure he could add value, you don't become useless in a matter of months, from a $50mil world cup winning player who has played for Madrid and did so much good for Arsenal too. I mean there are some games we can give him where we can play to his strengths, get his confidence back up and then decide what to do.
But sadly I think Mikel is done and making an example of him and he will walk away on a free. I just think any player that accepts that, has a stinky attitude
Yeah, I also think this is the end of his once an awesome career for sure. No teams on the top flight in three/four biggest leagues would like to hire him.
