Mikel be it out of budget constraints or an idea of the future as well as the previous foundation laid by Freddie who promoted a lot of his youth players has gradually continued to blood in the youngsters
Saka and Smith Rowe have been grabbing a large portion of the headlines with mature and consistent performances week in week out
But other kids have also been in and out of the squad! The likes of Maitland Niles, Nelson, Willock and Nketia have had their fair share of first team action
Make it your own while on loan
Niles and Willock have gone out on loan now and Nketia and Nelson have been out on loan previously. I do think all 4 could do with another full season away from the club but if we start moving up the table we will need more bodies as competitions take a toll on the squad
Bolstering the back line
There have however been rumours of other kids getting first team spots soon! McGuiness the bean pole centre back who is currently out on loan could be in it but It depends one what happens to Mavrapanos and Saliba when they come back from loan! I think MAccie can do with another season out on loan
young legs in the mid field
Then there’s Omar Rekik a midfielder we just signed from Berlin who looks good and with Guendouzi, Elneny and Torreira to leave there will be space for him to push for a few starts
Charlie Patino and Catalin Carjin come highly recommended
A good old fashioned big number 9
while Nikolaj Moller has been dubbed the new Zlatan! I always felt we needed another big target man after GIROUD left so I’d be keen to see him get into the first team and with Laca leaving soon I think his chances got a big boost
Left back Lopez
finally there’s Joel Lopez the young left back, sead has not hit the heights and he will probably make his move to Germany permanent at the end of the season!
Having only Tierney as a natural left footed fullback is not going to cover it given his style of play and injures so Lopez looks like he has probably one of the best shots of any of this new group to push for first team spots

Good to give the youngsters a chance. If nothing else, it helps to increase their market value before shipping them out.
That’s a good point we sure did that with Iwobi getting 34 mil for him! I wonder if Balogan will stay too, his been pretty sharp. I rate him higher than Nketia and wouldn’t be sad if Eddie moves on
Iwobi was a really good piece of business. What has he scored since moving... 3 goals or something?
