Are you good at relaxing?

Recently I've begun to notice how easily I slip into worry and anxiety.
There is, of course, much to worry about: the state of the world, the health of my loved ones, the issues in my business I just cannot seem to resolve.
And so many people think worrying is normal, sensible, prudent.
But what I've come to realise is that feeling good, grounded, relaxed actually creates so much more strength.
Things get stuck and are unnecessary difficult when I'm anxious. But when I remember to practise looking for reasons to feel relaxed and really drop into that emotional state, then things begin to work better again.
Today worked better because I actively practised anchoring into a relaxed state. I got more done. I felt happier. I was better company.
I know I'm going to need to actively practise this in the weeks to come. See, we're about to embark on a multi week road trip to Sydney, Adelaide, Geelong, and maybe Canberra on the way back to Brisbane.
It will be more nights away from home than we've done since we moved in together. It will more different beds than I've probably ever done in a two month period in my entire life.
So, just as well I got the memo on "practise relaxing even when there's plenty of reasons to feel the opposite" because I'm probably going to need it.
(Photo by Brad. This gorgeous magpie was singing a gentle, lovely song, as it stood just half a metre from us. It was hopeful that we would feed it some of our dinner but didn't seem cranky when we didn't.)

Why Geelong???
We're doing a housesit near there and then another one near Torquay. And picking up a couple of new parkruns, of course. That's your neck of the woods, right?
Oh whereabouts near Torquay? Yep. I'm in Anglesea. Mum's in Torquay.
Ah! We'll be in Armstrong Creek! Brad says I should ask you where the best cafe's are!!
And Anglesea, hey? Looks like we'll pass through there when we drove from Victor Harbor to Bellarine (for the first housesit) because we're taking the Great Ocean Road. I've never seen it!
Let me know when you're coming through! I don't go to cafes much in Torquay, as I don't spend much money out! Let me think about it. In Anglesea we go to the River Cafe. So you're driving?
Can do!
Noted!
River cafe. Got it.
We are driving, yah!
My insta is @kylbeebee - drop us a message there.
Also this place is meant to be great. It's only a k and a half from me and I still haven't been. Views etc.

Also Le Comptoir bakery in Airey's Inlet, and their cafe is also meant to be nice, though I haven't been. Le Comptoir does great french pastry and baguettes etc. If you park in the carpark you can walk over to the lighthouse and some great clifftop views.
Let me know how long you have and if you want to swim or do a nice walk on the way. There's also some waterfalls along the GOR - Swallow Caves is great, Sheoak falls just off the GOR but some longer walks/detours too eg Kalimna falls. There is a lot to do on this coast - most people do the road and miss a lot of cool stuff on the way.
Ooooh, excellent. I am emailing myself all these names and places now. Thank you!
lovely crow photo, and 20k over steps nice
