Heading out from Morton Lake up island to Port Hardy after a night of ruffing it we are on the hunt for somewhere tent friendly for the next night.

Wasn’t to bad of a spot we found just outside of the provincial park for the night, previously used for camping with good wind cover we were comfortable.

Sayward

First stop was for ice cream at the Sayward turn off to then venture down to the waterfront discovering paid showers open to the public

Was an awesome view from dock but only a quick stop making note of the facilities for on the way back, never know what we will or won’t discover further up island.

Port McNeill

Making certain to stop for gas we found the Worlds Largest Burl which was massive.

Not surprised it came from Vancouver Island with my grandfather having a hobby of turning them into clocks or decorative pieces. Basically only stopping for supplies we continued on to Port Hardy.

Port Hardy RV Resort

We supper impressed to find a tent friendly camp site right on the side of the highway just before heading into town.

We quickly setup and ate so we could have a good shower and relax for the evening.

Ruffing it is no joke but only makes the simple comforts more enjoyable. Warmth by the fire and tokes from the bong we called it a night early to be able to catch the morning wildlife right from site.

Tomorrow we venture Port Hardy and start our way back seeing what we can discover along the way ✌️
