Swan Lake : My Actifit Report Card: November 8 2025
An opportunity for a cycle ride! A brief lull in the rain came today. During last night I heard the rain hammering on the windows, which can be a cosy feeling sometimes. However, I knew that it also means a very soggy situation when cycling off-road.
With this in mind, I left for my ride early in the afternoon. It was chilly, but dry. Plenty of sunshine which made the scenery quite beautiful.
Buchan Park first with a brief stop for some pictures. Then onto Tilgate Park where I spotted a group of swans on the main lake.
There were four young swans, which were nearly fully grown, now growing their adult white plumage. A lovely sight! One adult was also present.
I expect the will soon disperse to other lakes and rivers before next spring season.
Winter is rapidly approaching. I am now wondering if we will get much snow this season. Here in southern England, nowadays we dont get much at all. As a child, I remember some very harsh winters, with abundant snow. How things change!

Ooohhh swans 😍 I'd love to see some in person. We don't have them anywhere near me. Nice to call it Swan Lake too. 😆 Autumn is lovely around your parks. Guess by now, winter is right around the corner. I believe it has gotten warmer over the years. It feels way hotter in our flat these past few years. When we first moved in, it was not this bad esp. during summer. 😒 I do wish it does not get any hotter anymore. Happy new week ahead!
