A good bread machine and a simple recipe can make all the difference. I always take my dough out of the machine after the kneading and bake in the oven. The machines are good for reducing the labor involved, but I'm not a fan of their crust or the hole in the bottom of the loaf.
I’ll have to look into getting one.
