My Actifit Report Card: June 15 2020
Hi guys and happy Monday to you!
I had set my alarm clock with the intention of getting up early so we could get the shopping done. Apparently, I missed those alarms and woke up at 8 am instead!🤪 I just figured we’d go tomorrow but @silvertop was still willing to go today, so around 2 pm we headed out.
First stop-Cash & Carry where I get paper cups, coffee syrups and that kind of thing. After checking out we headed to the car. I hit the key fob to unlock the car and we stash the purchases in the hatch. As @silvertop is returning the cart, I go to shut the hatch and it won’t latch. We’ve been having a bit of issue with this, as it’s tied into electric lock system. I thought I got it closed ok and usually it will click or hum as your driving. So I went to push the lock on the driver’s door as usual, which makes it stop, but this time it released the hatch!🙀 To make matters worse, it was POURING!!😳🌧 I pulled over and @silvertop tried what he had previously, but it didn’t work. So I drove to the next store with it unlatched thinking furiously as I drove, how are we gonna lock this thing while we shop? There is a manual lock inside, so he tried that and it appeared to work until I tried locking the car with the key fob 🤣🤣🤣 So after a couple of times of pushing the hatch back down and trying again only to have it unlatch the hatch, I got disgusted and crawled through the car locking all the doors manually and we set off to get out of the rain. Shopping while wearing face masks and gloves is stressful enough without added aggravation!!! Long story short-we need a new hatch lock motor. Somehow the ‘day’ headlights are tied to this and I’ve lost those too. Fortunately the headlights themselves are not tied to it and work. I’m hoping a new lock motor and maybe a new fuse might solve it.
We didn’t get home until close to 7 pm. It’s still raining, so all of my steps are shopping and pacing the house. Darn June-uary!!

Actifit Lamb looks mighty happy the rain had stopped finally. If only it had lasted another day so your hatch lock misadventures had happened on a dry day. When you get tired of the rain, send some to the Midwest, we could use a little right about now.
We are kind of tired of it, but when it finishes, then we will swelter! I hate sweltering!! We can share some to you though! Take care!
The Sun & Moon gate decor reminds me much of my silver hand-poured Sun and Moon! Have I shown you that one yet? I think I did! When will it stop raining? Goodness, the skies in above you forgot that it is Summer already! Shopping for food and supplies used to be classified a chore, but nowadays, it is considered a get-away and sort of an excursion. There were 11 new confirmed cases (all from a senior home facility) in the city. I was so sure things were getting better... perhaps not.

We watch NHK World, a Japanese station we can pick up over the air waves here, but it's in English, thank goodness. Anyway, they showed a map of the US with states that have an 'resurgence of cases of corona' and almost the whole western side of the country from north to south are showing increases. That's Washington, Oregon, California, Arizona, New Mexico and so on. The other part was the deep south including Texas. Unfortunately, I don't think this thing is done with us yet!
