My Actifit Report Card: June 21 2020
Hey guys! Thanks for stopping by! Happy Father’s Day to all you fathers out there!!
Sunday means church for us and for now, church is via FB live. We tuned in for the sermon which was great. I wish maybe they’d pan the camera around the church so we could see faces that we miss seeing! I might suggest that.
We headed out after that for a hike. There was no rain in the forecast, but it sure looked like it at first. We even felt sprinkles as we hiked, but nothing ever materialized.
I found a 5 year old snail baby to move to safety off of the trail.
Look at the detail of his body in the pic. It’s amazing!
Actifit-Lamb came along, of course, and she got to try out a new picnic blanket with paw prints 🐾 on it.
As you can see, she was checking out some Actifit information on her cell phone.
This next photo is an update of the Indian Pioes, also known as Ghost Mushrooms. They are definitely growing and will reach a total height of 6”-8” at maturity.
There are 3 bunches at a Y in the trail and another bunch on Slumbering Bear trail as well.
I fixed Cincinnati Chili for dinner which is always a treat and leaves you feeling very full.....always! It’s so good!!😋

Wow, I've never heard of ghost mushrooms. Those are amazing looking! An aptly named.

Ghost mushrooms? Is it because of its color and shape. This is my first look! It is amazing what you encounter o your hikes! I like A'Lamb's new blanket. My furbabies have a similar paws blanket, but in pink, LOL! The Chili must have been so yummy!!! Do you make it often?

I would say yes about the Ghost Mushrooms. They have several names; another is Indian Pipes. They are very cool! Wait until they are mature; I will photograph them in various stages.
The chili is unlike anything anyone has encountered, unless of course, you've been to Cincinnati! It is VERY good! I make it probably around 4-6 times a year. My recipe is in my head as they actually have restaurants that serve nothing but this chili in Cincinnati. I was able to get the ingredient list years ago, but in moving cross country, the original paper with it on it was lost in the moves. Fortunately, I have this weird ability to memorize stuff.😜 Google Skyline Chili.
