Happy Caturday! Thanks for stopping by!
So first out the gate in keeping with Caturday, here is Cot not quite awake this evening sitting close to the wood stove. He loves a good fire!
This morning found me sleeping in a little. I got over 7 hours of sleep which is an accomplishment for lately. Noon saw us on the SGS Community voice chat. We were on for about an hour as everyone seemed to have something that needed doing all at about the same time. It was an enjoyable chat.
Afterwards, we headed out to a local store that caters to wholesale pricing. No membership needed and you don’t have to be a business to shop there. That’s where I pick up coffee supplies like flavored syrups and cups and lids.
After that, we headed to Dollar Tree. They always have interesting seasonal stuff and today was no exception. I like to browse-what can I say, lol.
After we got home, we decided to take a little hike up to the trailhead. What I failed to mention at the beginning of this post is that somehow this morning, I threw my back out. Shopping was a bit painful and awkward and I wasn’t sure if hiking was the thing to do or not, but I needed to try something. Turns out, it was just what I needed! Going up and down hills seemed to help.
We stopped at a dry cabin to check on it as the owners are in Canada and can’t come into the country due to Covid. Here are a couple pics from that side trail.
By the time we got up and back, my back was feeling almost normal. I think the shorter hike was s good thing 😎
Once home, I needed to roast a pound of decaf for myself. I’ve been drinking half caf coffee since the blood pressure scare back in July. So, I mix the freshly roasted decaf with some of our freshly roasted regular. I’ve come to enjoy that flavor combination. ☕️☕️☕️
Tomorrow, we are running the technical end of service for our church. It should be fun!
