My Actifit Report Card: May 24 2021
Hey everybody and thanks for stopping by today!
Monday off from work-the first one in what seems like forever. I think it feels that way as I’ve worked more 4 day work weeks and 5 day work weeks than I have during the past 2-3 years in the last month and a half!
Once I was up for the day, roasting 4 pounds of coffee for a customer and then 3 for us, was first on the docket. Then it was time to take the coffee to the post office to mail. While there, I checked our box and found my Lotus energy concentrate had arrived! It’s much cheaper to make my own than pay $5.00 plus for one at the coffee shop. I’ll talk more about that tomorrow.
Once I returned from that errand, I began working on making my Amish Apple Coffee cake. I got the recipe out of a book I read and have now baked it 3 times. I found after the first time that the recipe needed a little tweaking. The second batch, I didn’t tweak enough, but this batch-nailed it!
I have to say it is awesome! Of course, @silvertop is my test taster. He gave it a double thumbs up! 😎👍
The weather here today has been rainy and cool. I spotted this as I drove in from running the errands I mentioned earlier.
It was so startling against the darker background of the leaves. It had flipped over and got stuck underneath side up, due to the rain.
We later went for a mini hike as is was drizzling and @silvertop is still having issues with his leg.
We stopped at Grant’s cabin to check on it and look for photo subjects.
All is well 😎
Poor @actifit-lamb……. She is really wanting to go for a hike, but it’s just not been conducive to take her and the gang along. Hopefully, the weather will straighten out soon!
They are calling for rain tomorrow and my Bible study has also been canceled. I do have an EDDM mailing to take to the Sumas post office and while out, I’ll get the club soda I need for my Lotus energy drink.

Sounds like you are having quite a rainy spring, @elizabethbit! The leaves with the droplets all over them are so pretty. And the image of Actifit Lamb staring wistfully out to sea is adorable!
I'm looking forward to knowing more about Lotus something. Would you believe I haven't been into a coffee shop for a year now?

Hey sis! I will include it in tomorrow's post. I've not been in a coffee shop either in over a year.......but then I might be considered the private coffee shop, lol! Coffee roasting, espresso drink making, now Lotus energy drinks.....hmmmm😁
