It’s Thanksgiving here in the US today. I am thankful for the many blessings that have been given to me and thankful for my husband, @silvertop 🥰
It’s been a bit of a lazy day. I’ve spent time reading, practiced music for Sunday, and worked on our dinner. Usually I’d have baked pumpkin pie, but since I never got to bake the cheesecake I’d planned for my birthday, I baked it today. I also didn’t plan on a turkey 🦃 as even a 10 pounder would be a bit much for just the two of us.
We’ve got another humdinger of a weather system hitting us again, and it’s been raining nonstop since the predawn hours. It’s to continue the onslaught for the next 3+ days. Makes me wonder if we might just need a boat to lead the music at church on Sunday! I really don’t think people are ready for another flood, yet it’s a very real possibility.
Our local grocer always gets these tiny poinsettias in a tiny metal bucket. I used a cool app to cartoonize it.

He sat that way for more than 10 minutes just gazing into the fire.

Happy Thanksgiving to You! My husband is finally building my small greenhouse! He has been working on it for about a week and half! He almost did himself in leveling the area and then placing the brick stones!! It's small but he has spent on long time on the floor/pad as he calls it. I will post pictures of the process soon! Hope you don't get flooded!

Fortunately, we are up high enough that our home will never flood. It's our friends, church, and my workplace that have been so devastated by the floods. Unfortunately there are 2 more storm systems that are due to dump an additional 5+ inches of rain. I'm not sure how the land or the rivers and creeks are going to handle it. They are just barely below flood stage now.
