You made it to the first level of 5000 with your @actifit steps of 5146! Sometimes at my workplace, which is a small optical office, I rack up between 5000-7000 steps a day! Craziness. Take care and have a good one!

Haha thanks! What kind of work do you do exactly? Optical office is something with Optometry right?

Yes, you are correct! I am an optician by trade and work for a private doctor in his clinic. I really like my job. It's a wonderful thing when you watch someone really see for the first time! It is good! Have a good day!

Sorry for my late reply! But it does sound really satisfying, I couldn't imagine not having sight. I mean I like photography after all.

Do these patiënts have bad sight because of a medical issue or also just because the world's eye sight has to be worse now with all the displays in front of us?

It's a combination of things depending on the patient. Some are just born with bad eyesight. Some develop over time as they get older. Kids are notorious for having extreme farsightedness and that can either improve as the grow, or grow worse as they grow. There is too, the new wave of nearsightedness for those folks who are on the computer constantly. That can be avoided, but most people stay focused up close and never take a break, that over time, the issue develops. And of course, there are things such as cataracts, presbyopia and various other things as we age. It's very interesting. A great career choice for anyone. Thanks for the question; sorry for the long winded answer. Take care!
