Eid and Sports

Eid is the the best of occasion for the Muslim community here in Bangladesh. Which comes twice in a year and for this reason its importance and celebration is huge in terms of any other festivals or national days. We can say this as a reunion because those who are working outside home specially in the city area or even abroad try to come to home on the occasion and it's a huge gathering twice in a year in the every villages of Bangladesh. That's pretty great to meet the old friends and relatives at least twice in a year. Sports is an integral part of this celebrating event.

Sports and festivals are interrelated. At the young age no festival is full filled without any sports event at least here in the villages of Bangladesh. I have experience of my childhood when will be used to play a ball kinds of Sports like cricket on football in the holy occasion of Eid festival. It is a matter of enjoyment and in this time it is a matter of get together as well because lot of friends and relatives are coming to the house from the city and other areas. As people meet each other after a long time they used to play any kind of sports to increase their engagement and enjoy the joy moment of the eid.

Football cricket or badminton matches between the two river in villages were very much common. But nowadays this trend is reducing day by day this is because of the engagement of young people to the mobile phone. Another factor is the lack of playing field. The playable and cultivation of farming lands are being used for making houses that's why the number of playing fields are reducing dramatically even in the village areas of Bangladesh. Internet facilities reaches to the marginal corner of the country and people are enjoying the Internet service and satellite service at their home and that's why they are not interested to play outside sports brother interested to stay inside home by by watching television and chatting in mobile phone
