Rain again: April 24 2023
We’re back to crazy and cold weather. I can’t believe I had to still put my central hearing on last night. It’s almost end of April and this morning it was only 4 degrees Celsius outside.
I am fortunate enough to have a window right by my desk at work. I’m very grateful for this little luxury, as it’s rare to have that in my line of work. Daylight is my absolute favourite type of light. I’m not a fan of artificial lightning.
Yesterday it suddenly got very dark and I heard a noise and when I opened the window, we were in the middle of another hailstorm. It repeated a few times during the day, but luckily there were some dry breaks during the day, so I was still able to go for my lunchtime walk.
There were a few spring flowers around the marina I walk at lunch, but I dropped my phone in the mud right after taking a picture of them, so I gave up on taking more.
After work the rain also took a break, but seeing how it went during the day, I took the umbrella that I usually keep at work… just in case.
And well, the case was that it was needed, especially towards the end of my walk, as it started raining again.
Still, another 10k (or 11.5k according to my watch) is in the pocket and 3 more days to go with my 10k steps challenge.
The good side of the rainy day is of course liquid diamonds (raindrops) captures that always look pretty.
Otherwise the park was pretty much empty again and big paddles were covering areas where I usually see people sitting.
Only ducks were not bothered by the weather. Sleeping comfortably on one leg 🤷🏻♀️ Not sure how you can be comfortable like this, but hey - each to their own.

Crazy weather indeed it's almost May!! We had snow flurries this weekend. In two weeks though I'll be complaining it's too hot, smh 😂
Oh, I rarely complain on heat, although while at work it can be sometimes troublesome.
This weekend I’m going to the yearly salsa event and I remember always wearing light clothes, even when sitting outside the hotel for a smoke and this year I’ll probably take a winter jacket just in case 🙈

Raining days is not usually my favorite, especially one that rains for long with little drops.

Totally, even when it gets darker in the evenings, I refuse to turn on the lights until absolutely necessary. Phone was ok, as it landed on the ground, but I got a scare of what it lands in the water, since it's a marina and I just put it back in my pockets. I can take pics another day, when I'm walking without the umbrella ;)
That's great, I love it! There's too much dependence on artifical lighting. People forget that their eyes work just fine even in low light. That's good to hear about your phone. I am extremely careful with mine, as I do so much on it every day! Happy Friday! 😁 🙏 💚 ✨ 🤙
