1 x day shift: Water Treatment Plant.
It was a fairly busy one!
I mentioned a Cormorant that I found yesterday.
Well, I got in touch with a local wildlife rescue group in the morning; the Australian Marine Wildlife Research & Rescue Organisation (AMWRRO) based on Torrens Island.
It turns out that the poor bird had a bad neck injury.
AMWRRO sent some team members to pick it up.
I had the animal in a cardboard box to prevent further injury, with some paper towel to act as bedding.
Nicole, one of the AMWRRO members, remarked that it was quite a young bird, which should improve the chance of it making a full recovery.
She also pointed out that it was in fact a Great Cormorant (Phalacrocorax carbo) not a Little Black Cormorant (Phalacrocorax sulcirostris) like I had thought.
A case of misidentification on my part.
I hope it recovers okay.
Anyway, this has very little to do with exercise, but it did occupy some of my time yesterday.
