Folks,

Started today thinking I'll be working in the lab, like any other Thursday

I got to change Chlorine drums in the afternoon instead

Which was a nice switch-up to my recent routine at work

A colleague had a sore shoulder, poor bloke, and was worried he might exacerbate the injury while tightening up the connections on the replacement drums

He took over the labwork and I took over the physical work, for the day

...

After that, I tumbled back to the archery range for another round of the Kestrel Course

Our news is going on about how we are having a chlorine shortage and pool owners are gonna pay through the nose.

First I've heard of it! Though I think we're on opposite sides of the Earth

And I don't have a TV

It's a serious concern though

Reading a few articles around the web just now and I can't believe the reporting

Literally all of them talk solely about pools

Not a single mention of how a chlorine shortage would effect the water supply

In most places, especially cities and towns, the loss of chlorination would be a severe and dire emergency

Unreal...

Yes, the imaginary fears work much better here, alot of these folks don't have enough sense to take cover in a shoot out.
If you wanted to create a shortage of chlorine for the water supply juicing a bunch of pool owners into hoarding it would be a good way to do it, imo.

We really need to do away with the monetary system, it leads to crap like this.
