It’s the little things about the pandemic that surprise me. I wanted to replace the 6’X10’ step at the base of my deck. In the past, this would be a 1-2 hr job. Buy the lumber, fasten it together, then have a celebratory drink.
When I went to my local home repair shop, they were out of wood. So I went to a Home Depot in another town they were almost out of wood. What remained was warped beyond repair. The third store had the lumber in the yard, but I couldn’t drive very close to it. So, I had to carry a couple board at a time. As you can see, this was good for my calorie count as well as my step count.
By the time I got home, the bugs were coming out and I was getting hungry. Hopefully tomorrow will go smoother.
