- My Actifit Report Card: July 17 2025

【English】
Every Thursday is my second son's swimming lesson.
It’s been raining for the past couple of days, but today it cleared up. However, when it’s sunny, it gets hot, making the walk to the swimming school feel terribly bothersome. The strong wind today made it even worse.
So, we decided to take the bus today. My second son loves buses, so he was thrilled. I checked the bus schedule and saw that the nearest bus stop had a departure at 3:50 PM. However, this bus never arrives on time and is usually delayed by more than five minutes—sometimes even over ten. Since waiting too long at the bus stop under the scorching sun (with no shade) would be tough, we left home to arrive right at the departure time. I figured we’d still be a bit early.
But just as we were approaching the bus stop, I heard a “Pshhh…!” sound from behind. The bus we were supposed to take was overtaking us and pulling up to the stop!
Oh no, run! We sprinted desperately, but we couldn’t catch up. The bus let off a few passengers and drove away. I checked the time on my phone: 3:50 PM. This bus is always at least five minutes late—sometimes ten—and yet, today of all days, it arrived exactly on time! I was a bit annoyed. I mean, it’s on schedule, so I can’t really complain, but still.
We had no choice but to walk to school.
By the way, how long has it been since I last ran? It was just a few dozen meters, but I was already out of breath. What was even more shocking was that my 7-year-old son was running way faster than me (Back in preschool, he wasn’t particularly fast).
It really hit me that his athletic abilities are still developing, while mine are… well, declining. No no, I’ve got to start exercising more!
Today was a progress check day at swimming, but my son didn’t pass and was pretty disappointed. Whether he passes today or next time isn’t a big deal, though. There’s no need to rush through the levels, so I hope he takes his time to build a solid foundation at each stage.
Missing the bus was unplanned, but I ended up walking over 7,000 steps, so I guess it was a good thing 🙂

Hi @go-kyo, I'm happy for those 7000 steps. And I liked the thought that the important thing is not to go through the steps quickly but to build a solid base in each one of them.
Big greetings to you.
I learned this from the process of my elder son's swimming lessons. He is learning to swim as well, and his progress was not always smooth. But after a very long period of practice, he is now a very fast swimmer😉
