Keeping it together during another lockdown (Actifit Report Card: March 26 2021)
Sadly the hard lockdown is back π.
The cutting COVID-19 numbers are getting out of hand so most of us are stuck at home in Curcao.
I have to admit that I was pretty frustrated to hear the news but I've since managed to turn that around. I've gone back to being optimistic!
The other option was just not gonna cut it!
At this point my mindset is: 'Never waste a lockdown'.
Since most of us have some experience I've gone back to my old lock down list. I have daily tasks both in terms of work and outside of work:
- Read a book
- Exercise
- Get fresh air
- Check up on friends/family
- Cook
- Play some video games
The last one is there for relaxation purposes π.
Up till now I've had a good run and all tasks have been completed everyday.
It's still early days (government said 2 weeks but I'm counting on a month) but I feel good about it.
Now for the exercise part:
I have a little streak going of running 1km everyday. That's the bare minimum and I can do more if I like. And I'm thinking of going for 5000 steps. I'll add different exercises to it when I get in better shape π.
(Also I dribble a basketball in my apartment, luckily the neighbors understand π.)
This is all possible cause at the moment we're allowed to walk/bike in our own neighborhoods between 4.30am / 8 am and 5pm /8pm.
I just plan to make the most of that window πͺπΎπͺπΎπͺπΎ.
In terms of food I try to eat healthy and I cooked and made myself another healthy wrap
But I have to admit my kryptonite aka cookies (or biscuits in some countries) have also make there way to my stomach π
Such is life....
Thanks for tuning in!
Any tips to add to the lists are welcome!
Cheers,
Gyanno

That's a cool list to survive another lockdown, hopefully a short one. I am gonna challenge you to add one more item to the list man, learn a new skill. That is a fabulous use of a lockdown.
Gratz on the healthy choices and the indoor B-ball lol, Have a great week my friend π
Bon siman (have a great week in Papiamentu)
Challenge accepted!
Not sure what it's going to be yet so suggestions are welcome!
How are you doing?
Hey there, my Curaçaoan friend, or should I say Bon tardi?
Mi ta bon, Con ta bai?
Yeah man, that's always the right answer β I won't influence you at the moment as I believe from the small amount I know about you that you are kinda wise beyond your years and you will choose something that genuinely helps your life. If you are really stuck, I am always at hand to help Bro π
Take good care dude, catch ya soon, thanks for the response, or should I say Danki π
Oh one suggestion for your lockdown, read 'The compound effect' by Darren Hardy, there's even an audio book version on YT. The vast majority of the stuff you will already know but it is ordered nicely and has some cool workable examples of progress.
