An average day at the office || IAAC #14 || Today’s actifit report and a win ||

Hello, everyone. Hope that everything is running smoothly in your life. This is going to be my 14th post to take part in the #iamalivechallenge, initiated by @flaxz. It is also going to be my today’s @actifit report. In the end, you will find today’s proof of a win.

It was an average day at the office. I didn’t have many patients today. However, I got a few Omani patients with symptoms suggestive of COVID19, whom I failed to convince that they might have corona. They denied my suggestions instantly. Looks like they got some 100% certainty (from somewhere) that they couldn’t have the virus despite having all the respiratory symptoms. Anyway, in the latter part of my office work, One Omani was convinced. But instead of doing the PCR test, he opted for home isolation for 10 days.

In Oman, in most of the institutions, the work time is split into morning and evening shifts. Initially, it was bothersome to me. Because I need to move between home and office 4 times. Taking preparation for office 2 times, instead of 1 is also a kind of a waste of time. However, now I am adjusted with the system. I have split my daily 9 hours duty into morning 4 and half hours and evening 4 and half hours.

Today the weather is a little bit colder than the previous days. There is a wind which is contributing to the dropping of the temperature. However, it is still above 10 degrees.

Here is the proof for a #win. It is a project run by @wil.metcalfe and @adventureready

hello dear friend @ hafiz34 good day
It's true what you say, it's tedious having to travel four times a day to go to work. Here in my province this employment contract is also used. I'm so sorry
stay safe and take care dear friend

Yes! It's little bit of problematic. It was more problematic for me because in my country, it was a continuous duty in whatever hospital/clinics I worked on. However, as I told, I have adjusted with the systems. So, now it is almost Ok.

Why did they even come to you, if they already thought they knew better?? I really don't understand people like this. Trusting the internet or suggestions from non-medical friends rather than the medical professionals..

That'a good questions. Everyday, I am getting a good number of patients with the same mentality. They don't want to know the reason for their illness. They just want the symptomatic managements.

I can imagine that must be very frustrating at times.
Keep up the good work!
