Being a believer Muslim, I am always grateful to my creator who brought me into my existence, from nothing. However, every day, in my chamber and outside, I meet people with various sufferings and trials which constantly remind me how lucky I am. Stories of those people tell me that I should not stop expressing my gratitude to my Lord. I am going to share short stories of some people I came into contact recently. Telling a story is not the primary goal here, rather highlighting what blessings I am enjoying now.
Two days ago, I was taking the PCR sample from one Pakistani guy. He wasn’t suffering from any kind of illness. He came to do the test for travel purposes. Why did he need to go to his country during this pandemic? Because, a few days earlier, his wife, who was in Pakistan, fell down from the stairs and sustained a bad fracture in her pelvis area/hip area. She was admitted to the hospital. They have kids at home but no reliable people to take care of them. That’s why the guy wanted to go on an urgent basis.
Why am I grateful?
My wife and my son are staying at home. Alhamdulillah, they are fine. My home is walking distance away from my office. They are fine. If any urgency happens, I can reach home within 2-3 minutes. All of these settings, aren’t they blessings?
The CEO of my company got a hot water scald in his right forearm and wrist 4 days ago.
Every day, at home, we are doing work with fire, hot water. So far, alhamdulillah, no such accident happened.
One Bangladeshi patient came to my chamber. Due to severe, acute lower back pain, he couldn’t sit on the chair. One day before, he, while lifting a bucket from the ground, suddenly got a sharp pain in his lower back. Since then, neither can sit still nor can walk straight.
Every day, how many times lifting objects, heavy or light. I had some kind of pain in the lower back as well. But as far as I can remember, my lower back pain was never that severe type. Alhamdulillah.
I only highlighted 3 examples but these types of examples are numerous. Now, Look around you. If you search, you will find a lot of examples as well. Compare with yourself, maybe, it will increase your gratefulness as well.
Lastly, in Oman, today there is 1 new death case. That one could have been me. But I am alive. I am alive to write this post. I am alive to witness another day. Alhamdulillah. All praise to be for God.
A win proof:
