Story of two patients | Smart use of technology | Actifit Report Card: July 28 2021 | Proof of win 🏆
Today morning, One Bangladeshi patient came to my chamber. He was having a problem for the last 1 week. After midnight, he was starting to have breathing difficulty with noise coming out from his throat and chest. In the morning, after 7-8 am, his condition was improving automatically. Being a smart guy, he recorded the sound. When he visited me, he was symptoms free. So, his record helped. It was wheezing, a typical sound heard in asthma patients when airway constriction becomes severe. Although there was no wheezing in my chamber, his record and my stethoscope 🩺 helped me reaching the diagnosis. It was a case of bronchial asthma. I gave him treatment and advice accordingly.
Towards the end of the duty time, one doctor's mother-in-law came to me. The doctor's whole family is suffering from COVID19. Despite getting two shots of Astra Zeneca, the doctor got infected with the virus. Among all, his mother-in-law's condition was the worst one.
Her oxygen saturation was 90%. She couldn't eat anything in the last few days. She was lethargic and had shortness of breath. Her blood reports were consistent with severe infection. I gave oxygen, injection and intravenous fluid.
Besides the above two patients, I consulted another 16 patients in my chamber today. Yesterday and today, the patient’s load was comparatively less.
Despite being in constant contact with COVID19 patients, I am so far healthy and fine. I am alive, Alhamdulillah. This is my 191st participation in the #iamalivechallenge contest.
I walked on the treadmill for more than 20 minutes. During the time, I continued watching the lecture by Dr Umar Suleiman that I started yesterday. After the walk, my kid and I went to the front-yard to play football ⚽️. I took an afternoon photograph as well.
