Actifit: Bike trip to a 'Strauße'
My wife dropped off our daughter at her mother's this morning and we had a baby-free day to ourselves.
Since the weather was nice and warm like a summer day, we decided to do one of the most German things and went on a small bicycle trip to a local Strauße. These are small guesthouses without guest rooms where winemakers and farmers sell their produce. They are only allowed a limited number of guests as they do not have restaurant status and only serve simple dishes for cyclists and hikers. And of course, they sell their own wine.
The red drink you see in the picture is 'Neuer Süßer' (The new sweet one). Which is wine that was harvested this year and has just started producing alcohol but is still close to grape juice and not full wine yet.
We still had some time before grandma returned our daughter, which I used the time to finally finish the Borderlands 2 story mode.
