My Actifit Report Card: November 12 2020

Hello everyone! Today I made a quinoa porridge for breakfast. I used a tri-color quinoa and almond milk. I also added some raisins, apple and toasted chopped walnuts. It was delicious and part of our program to get away from oils and meats for breakfast ( I do love bacon!).

Today we continued to pack summer things to take up to the storage unit. And when we go later this week we’ll bring the winter clothing items and Holiday decorations for Thanksgiving and Christmas. After we packed I moved the bins down to the garage for later transport.

Today we also were putting up the plastic over the windows hoping to have a warmer apartment this winter. We have also been putting up heavier drapes beneath the regular drapes to provide extra insulation. Today we worked on the dining room which never had drapes, only the Venetian blinds. I thought the new drapes were pretty.

I did have to run to Walmart because when we first purchased drapes and curtain rods we had miscounted. While we here working there was a red headed woodpecker on the tree outside. I tried to get a good picture but he moved around too much!

Dinner was a one pot meal. Some Jasmine rice, shrimp, and broccoli. When it was finished my wife mixed in some teriyaki sauce. For November we watch movies or documentaries about War. Tonight it was “Journey’s end” about WW1. Sad, but well acted. Thanks for reading!
