My Actifit Report Card: October 16 2020

This morning I made time to do a repair on my campervan as last week my right hand side sliding door remote lock actuator failed. I ordered the replacement motor and it arrived yesterday.

Had to remove all the interior trim and the actuator from inside the door. The actuator is a sealed unit so had to cut it open to get to the failed motor to be able to fit the new replacement one.

You can see the unit cut open with the new motor sitting beside ready for me to swap over. The new one actually has a better quality brass gear fitted not that the old plastic one had any issues.

Once all fitted back into the van it's now working correctly 😃👍. To buy the complete unit is well over $100 and to just take a bit extra time and just replace the motor cost me $29 so I call that a win😃
