My Actifit Report Card: May 13 2020

As you will see, this post is mostly about beautiful trees. But I also came upon a tragic scene, which I will describe at the end of the post.
Tonight on my walk, I attempted to capture the first flowering trees. It is still very early in the spring season here, and we have to be very patient as we wait for spring to come fully into bloom.
Here’s a lovely white blossoming tree right in my neighborhood.

And finally, the heartbreaking scene I mentioned - a family home destroyed by a fire.
There was a sign that provided the family name and a link to a GoFundMe page. The fire just happened a few weeks ago.

Looks like a wonderful walk with the exception of the last picture. It's hard when tragedy strikes. My neighbor had that same thing happen last spring, but in her case, the fire was started by the negligence of her adult daughter. There's a whole story attached to this, but for another time. Good job with your 10125 @actifit steps. I hope that this family receives all they need to get their home back. Take care and have a good night!
Great to hear from you, @elizabethbit! I will have to hear that story sometime. Negligence is pretty hard to deal with when it has catastrophic consequences.
This is what happened; her daughter is unfortunately a drug addict. She suffers from schizophrenia. She was/is living in a run down travel trailer with only electricity; no plumbing; no water. She went into her mom's single wide to cook breakfast for herself and left an electric fry pan on. The trailer caught fire and burned to the ground. Fortunately, no one was hurt as my neighbor was babysitting grandchildren at another location. Keep in mind that the daughter was only living there as she had burned her own trailer down previously in town. It's a very sad situation and there's a ton more to the ongoing story here, but I don't want to write a book, lol. Take care my friend!❤️
Oh my, @elizabethbit, that took my breath away. Some people are so deeply broken that it causes pain and suffering for everyone around them. All you can do sometimes is send a wish or a prayer that something, somehow will intervene to make things better. This story reminds me of one of my own family members. Maybe I'll tell you the story sometime.

They really are beautiful trees, you know what they're called? How sad what happened to the Penney family's house. I hope they can soon rebuild their home. We can't go out on these walks yet, you're lucky to be able to go out for a walk and enjoy it.🤗
I am not sure what kinds of trees those ae, @mballestros. There are different kinds, I think.
I hope the family can begin to recover soon too. It's so heartbreaking. Life is challenging enough right now.
Hopefully you will be able to go outside walking soon. I am not sure why we don't have more restrictions. Our cases of the virus are going up here right now.
