Hi friends, it was a light day for exercise, primarily because it was HOT. We actually had a heat advisory today. So I took a walk around my garden and my neighborhood, capturing pictures of flowers. Most of these are in my garden, but I will point out the ones belonging to my neighbors.
First, this is one of the small garden beds in front of my house. The cone flowers have just blossomed. Those are the purple ones at the back.
These are my red geraniums, which are hanging pots, just in front of the garden bed.
The following is a much larger garden to the side of my house. A few kinds of lilies are blossoming now.
And here is my front garden which has various flowers blossoming at different times. Right now it’s the hydrangeas’ turn.
Next it’s time to venture out to the neighborhood.
Here’s my neighbor’s bed of tiger lilies.
Next a pretty mixed garden bed at another neighbor’s house.
This neighbor had vines and climbing flowers.
Okay here are the last two pictures, taken after sundown. The first is my “tree Tuesday” shot - some firs in silhouette against the soft glow of the evening sky.
And finally, I returned to my property because I still needed to do the evening watering. I took the following picture, surprised that it turned out pretty well, because it was almost dark. But the lilies that blossomed recently in my backyard are such a brilliant white that they almost gave off some light!
(By the way, I realized after posting this that it's Wednesday, not Tuesday, but we have to laugh at ourselves, right?)
