It was a stunning fall day, though cool enough for a jacket. Those of us who love fall get ridiculously giddy when it’s time to bring out the fall sweaters!

It’s only the beginning, but already some of the trees are absolutely brilliant!

I took those pictures while out on errands during the day, but my actual walk was in the early evening out on a trail in a nature preserve. There was a lot of color there, but none of the brilliant reds.

I love that golden evening light!

How beautiful !

It's not really cool here yet, but the days have changed by a few degrees, so the turn has just begun. Will probably still be a few weeks before the colors start showing up here.

It's a little different everywhere. Our warm seasons are very short here in Minnesota! It always seems we are rushing toward winter!

You seem to be further ahead in your colors. Only our sumac are turning, but the greens on the others is not at all vibrant anymore.
