My husband and daughter snd I bundled up for a walk late in the day and went out on the long regional trail that takes us to the largest lake in the area. It was a beautiful day for walking. I was feeling a little wistful, as the holidays are winding down and my kids will be heading back home. But the walk was a nice way for the festivities to draw to a close.
The scenery was lovely. The sun was peaking through puffy clouds and we could see a bit of pale blue sky.
When we arrived at the lake, we saw a lot of ice fishing huts. The lake is frozen enough now that it is safe, at least for foot traffic. They probably aren’t allowing trucks out there yet, but they will soon.
