When the sunset blooms - Actifit: March 22 2021
Have you ever looked at a full gray sky and wondered when the sun would come out, and how you could get any decently bright and interesting photos in the meantime?
Today was a sullen gray all day. I did capture this picture of a cardinal in my birch tree among the Christmas lights I haven’t yet taken down! Can you see him?
My walk around the block was rather blah.
Everything seems to be the color of ash and sand - the non-description colors one paints a home when preparing for sale.
This home will be quite beautiful, with flowers overflowing from planters when spring turns to summer.
A few ducks were enjoying the edge of the pond where the snow has melted. But you see what I mean? Everywhere the colors are vague and brown.
But something interesting happened as I strolled around.
A tinge of salmon color layered the very edge of the horizon. I watched it as I walked, wondering if I could somehow get closer for a better view.
And then it seemed to come alive and spread across the sky. It came to me instead!

Natures way of an empty palette void of colour, soon with flowers and leaves filling in the colour wheel everywhere, a lovely time to watch change happen.
Gorgeous colour filled the sky to entertain and one little cardinal arrived to cheer you on.
