Tree Tuesday - Sights of Early Spring - Actifit: May 4 2021
It is perhaps late spring for some, but in northern climates like Minnesota, we are still wearing coats most days! But it’s lovely to see the trees budding out and some are flowering.
Where I go walking there are trails going every which way, and I can take any circuitous, meandering course I wish.
Some are paved trails and some wander through woods.
I started up one narrow path and came upon a deer grazing in the grass. She watched me warily, but seemed disinclined to run since I stopped and didn’t proceed toward her. I’ve heard that deer can be very unpredictable. One wouldn’t want to be pummeled with those hooves with deadly force.
That last one is a little too zoomed in and blurry, but I could help capturing her changing expression.
Next was sunset!

Ha Ha, yes I think she was! She kept craning her neck to see what I was up to. I think they see many walkers in the woods, and they are never sure whether the next one just might be a threat. Thank you for stopping by, @joanstewart!
Some antelope stand dead still hoping to blend into nature surrounding them, other bolt to outrun any possible danger. This one obviously felt no threat so decided to keep a beady eye on you... pretty eyes too one might add.

Thank you, @kaerpediem. Yes, I really do, and I feel absolutely blessed to have pretty places to walk nearby. To me they are even pretty in winter when the landscape is stark and bare and the trees all seemed to be a muted version of themselves.

Looks so peaceful with no one around. I wish we also live in a place that is so clam and relaxing.
Oh it is miserable. This right here right now is why I want to move south! I can see 30s in January and February, but come on! This is too much! 37 tonight. 32 Monday night. I am so over it.
I love the winding paths and the lightly wooded area to walk in. It is so peaceful there and we are both fortunate to have such beautiful places to walk and enjoy our time out with nature.
The deer shot is awesome! She is just like you, watching so as to not spook you! Have a wonderful weekend coming right up, jayna!
